GICC Leadership
A WORD FROM THE PASTOR
Hello and Welcome to Grace In Community Church!
There is great meaning in our church name! We are excited to experience the grace IN our church community, and to experience the grace IN our greater community in which God has planted us to make a difference.
“To Know God and to make Him Known, to embrace His Grace and extend His Glory”…that has been the journey!
Nearly 40 years ago, “God Himself” pulled me out of a lifestyle that was leading me towards destruction; physically, spiritually and emotionally. Through the supernatural work of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, I have experienced the “Grace” and the abounding mercy of God, as my life, has been put back together for His Glory. And to think – He's not done with me yet! But it is through this "work in progress" that I graduated from Elim Bible Institute & College and married my wife, Sherrie. God has blessed us with seven children, and together Sherrie and I have been in full time ministry for the past 35 years, serving in many ministry opportunities and capacities of Church life.
It is with great excitement that my wife and I, and now our oldest daughter Rachael and her husband Jeremiah, pastor here at Grace In Community Church. The Lord has blessed us with a fantastic team with elders and leaders in which we have truly experienced this "Grace In Community." The Lord has blessed us with a heart to serve people, and He has blessed us with a gift mix to reach, disciple, and release people for the work of the ministry.
It is our heart to make a significant difference in, and upon, our culture – to impact our generation with the purposes of God. Early in our call to ministry, God promised that He would use us to influence people with the supernatural presence of the Holy Spirit. We believe and anticipate signs and wonders to follow and confirm the Word spoken to us many years ago. It truly is a blessing and an honor to serve the Grace In Community Church family and reach out and influence our community with the reality and truth of Jesus Christ.
Over the past several years God has really prompted our hearts to work towards connecting the next generation. As we are well aware of the great contribution of the foundation that has been laid by the folks that have labored with us faithfully these last 15 years, it is with great joy that we turn our focus on that next generation of young people who we have the privilege of mentoring and releasing in the fresh work of Kingdom purposes.
I am believing that God will do here at GICC (Grace IN Community Church) only that which God can do. Greater things! Things that no man can accomplish without His presence upon our lives. We anticipate a new awakening of transformation and revival in the days to come and we invite you to join us as we learn to "Know God and make Him Known; as we embrace His Grace and Extend His Glory!”
Together for His Honor!
